VUSA Christmas party photos: Celebrating a Year of Positive Impact

I recently had the pleasure of photographing VUSA’s Christmas Party, an event that highlighted the incredible work being done by the VUSA Rugby & Learning Academy in the Langa community.

The VUSA Academy offers educational and sporting opportunities to young children in Langa. By engaging these children in rugby and other recreational activities, VUSA enhances their physical abilities and instils valuable life lessons. The programme ensures that the children have access to meals and academic support, which are essential for their development.

One of VUSA’s primary goals is to create a hub of excellence in Langa. This means addressing the challenges faced by children in the community from an early age. By providing a safe space for learning, play, and growth, the VUSA Academy helps these children build confidence, acquire skills, and gain the knowledge they need to become successful adults.

The success of this year’s Christmas party was made possible by the incredible generosity and support from their sponsors and volunteers. To name a few; Shoprite, Yokico, RIA Cares, Homechoice, The Living Ball, HCI Foundation, Sir Fruit, and Spur. There were also many volunteers that assisted to ensure the event was a success; Mike Teke, Ryan Mitchell, the Venn family, Gavin and Sharon Dickinson from Trend, the Herschel Girls, and Asiphe the Magician, who entertained the children and added a touch of magic to the day.

It was truly an honour to capture these moments and witness first-hand the difference VUSA is making in the community.
